2007 Investment Showcase
The SETsquared Partnership held its 4th annual Investment Showcase on 17 October, presenting some of the best new technology spin-out companies and entrepreneurial start-ups from southern England. Primarily recognised for their research, the four universities of Bath, Bristol, Southampton and Surrey are now creating some of the most exciting high-growth companies in the UK. Through their incubation activities they also support some of the region's best technology start-ups.
Five new companies gave presentations to over 120 investors. Together with a further 14 companies, they pitched their products to investors. Each company was pre-selected by an expert panel to attend the showcase and offered an investment opportunity of between £0.5 million and £3 million over the coming year.
