Enterprise Clubs
BANTER, the University of Bath Entrepreneurs' Club, is a new group for students who are interested in running their own business or who want to find out more about entrepreneurship. The main aim of the club is to increase awareness of entrepreneurship within the University, help foster new businesses and support existing ones, provide training and skills for entrepreneurs at the University, and facilitate the flow of information between entrepreneurs at social events.
Bristol University Business Angels (BUBA) is a student run company providing funding and intellectual/promotional support to student entrepreneurs. With up to £30,000 to invest in student ideas and support from talented graduates and top legal / accountancy firms, we provide a launching platform for new business ventures. If you have a new business idea and would like to know how we can support you, or would like to get involved in developing new projects, there are many opportunities available.
Fish on Toast is the University of Southampton's student entrepreneurs' club, run by students with support from the Centre for Enterprise and Innovation. Open to all students and post graduates at the University, the club runs weekly sessions, often with visiting speakers, giving you practical support and advice on how to formulate a business plan, get funding, find manufacturing partners and launch your products on the market. Students can also apply for 'Fish Food', up to £2,500 of matched funding/investment from the CEI.
FUSE is a unique student driven programme for students wanting to become entrepreneurs provided by the University of Surrey Students' Union, Research and Enterprise Support and the School of Management. It provides support and advice in key areas such as idea generation, business planning, sources of funding, and personal skills which are needed to succeed when starting a new business. Whatever you want to do after you leave University, FUSE offers an unmissable and valuable introduction to the world of business and creativity with sessions, workshops and events designed to bring out the entrepreneur in you.
