National Student Enterprise Conference

University of Southampton student entreprenuers club: Fish on Toast

The second National Student Enterprise Conference took place at the Universtiy of Bath in November 2006.  Inaugurated by the university in 2005 during Enterprise Week, both conferences were organised by students from the University of Bath’s entrepreneurial society, BANTER.

Over 400 students from all over the UK have benefited from the free conference which provides the opportunity to network with other students interested in entrepreneurship, attend presentations and workshops, and receive free practical advice at business surgeries.

In keeping with the theme, successful graduate entrepreneurs and current students were invited to participate in presentations, question and answer sessions and even provide their services to the conference delegates.

A number of students also participated in the Elevator Pitch Competition, giving the winners the opportunity to win cash to help turn their business initiative into reality.

The event concluded with a torch-lit networking reception at the historic Roman Baths.
